About KISS University.
Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), Bhubaneswar, Odisha was started in the year 1992-93 by a visionary educationist, philanthropist, and noted social activist, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, who sacrificed everything in his life for the welfare and empowerment of the downtrodden tribals of the nation. It started with only 125 poor tribal children and now, it is the largest free residential educational Institution for more than 70,000 poorest of the poor indigenous children & youth in the world (30,000 students pursuing at KISS Bhubaneswar, 20,000 alumni, and 20,000 students in the Satellite Centers of KISS at 10 tribal-dominated districts of Odisha). Presently, 30,000 tribal children (out of which 60% are girls) are being imparted holistic education from Class-I to Ph. D along with vocational training, healthcare, and exposure to sports & athletics in the state-of-the-art infrastructure absolutely free of cost.

Admission to different programs.
1. Admission into UG (+3 Degree) in Arts, Science, and Commerce will be taken in the following subjects (all Hons.) with a focus on the study of Tribal Culture, Philosophy, Heritage, Tribal Science and Technology, Linguistics and Literature, Tribal Resource Management, Tribal Legal Studies, and Tribal Rights.
Arts: Odia, Hindi, Sanskrit, English, Political Science, History, Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Education, Economics, Sociology, Home Science, Philosophy, Psychology, Anthropology, Geography:- With a focus on the study of Tribal Society.
Science: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, and Computer Science:- With a focus on the study of Sciences and Tribal Technology.
Commerce: Accountancy:- With a focus on Tribal Economy and Resource Management.
